Delicious breakfast made to order with fresh ingredients.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was marred by minimal interaction with the host, which made the stay feel less personal. We desired more guidance and local tips about the area. however, we felt quite isolated during our visit. although the location is fantastic for accessing walks in The Peak District, the room itself had a duvet cover that smelled slightly musty, diminishing the plush experience we hoped for.

The private bathroom was not an en-suite, but that didn't take away from the wonderful stay. The property felt like a lovely family home, and we were welcomed warmly upon arrival. Breakfast choices were plentiful, allowing us to select a time that suited us. The value for money stood out, especially with the lovely walkable distance to Bakewell, packed with restaurants and local pubs serving homemade cuisine. Our room was comfortable with nice garden views, and little touches like the available cake each day made it feel special. A minor inconvenience was having to deal with the shared shower arrangement instead of an en-suite. the hospitality from Anna and Ian really made our stay enjoyable, and we would definitely consider returning in the future.

Charming village vibes in Great Longstone 🌳✨
Room 3 was huge and had stunning views! Super clean and comfy, like a lekker bush lodge. Brekkie was on point, made to order with fresh fruit. Chommie at reception set up a cot for us, no fuss at all. Loved walking to the pubs nearby, very accessible!
Check-in at 4pm felt a bit late, but we managed!

We spent 4 nights in the Deluxe Double or Twin Room with Garden View, and what a delightful stay it was! The room was spacious and featured a comfy king-size bed, alongside thoughtful inclusions like a small fridge with milk and bottled water. The breakfast was a treat—cooked to perfection with fresh eggs from local farms and even homemade jams. Anna's warm welcome with cake upon our arrival truly set the tone for a relaxing getaway.

Had an awesome time with friends! We hiked to the stunning Monsal Head and the beautiful Tissington Trail. The breakfast selection was great, and the location was perfect for a quick walk to nearby pubs. Make sure to try the homemade cakes available in the afternoons. they were a lovely touch!
The only letdown was the check-in process starting at 4pm, which felt a bit late for travelers. A little earlier would have made it more convenient for us.
